The Saint of the town, the lord of Matehuala, is a Christ made out with corn cane. It was brought to town long time ago. Since then the fair is celebrated from de 1st through the 15th january.
Anniversary of the Foundation of Matehuala
The city was founded in 1550 and its anniversary fair takes place from the 1st through the 15th july.
Holy Week in Matehuala
Holy Week is celebrated in Matehuala with a Way of the Cross and the Procession of Silence. The Charamusca Fair takes place at the garden “Vicente Guerrero” called “Parque del Pueblo” just in front of our hotel.
